My previous position was as Assistant Dean for Technology of
Fine Arts at the University of Utah. My primary responsibility were to bring
technology to artists and scholars in the College of Fine Arts at the University
of Utah by promoting, encouraging, and supporting its use through leadership
in and coordination of technology assistance to faculty, staff, and students.
I supervised the 5-person Computer Support and Information Systems group, which
provides help desk services, desktop engineering and support, educational multimedia
support, and administrative and office technology to College units. I actively
supported College technology-related activities by overseeing the design, funding,
and maintenance of student computing labs and electronic classrooms, and coordinating
with other units on campus, to integrate digital technology in teaching,
learning, and research.
